Download audio filePeople talk about daydreaming as though it’s a bad thing. But sometimes the dreams in our hearts are there because God put them there. Now … there’s a scary thought!
A good many people have a secret dream for their lives; something that they want to do or achieve, but it seems so outrageous that they can’t tell anyone else. It seems so scary that they never give it a try.
A young carpenter in a backwater called Nazareth knew who He was, and did what He was called to do; not some meek, mild, pious, religious geek, but a radical, unconventional, establishment-challenging, life-changing, leper-healing Jesus.
In fact, He was so wild that, in the end, they crucified Him.
That same untamed Jesus made you just the way you are. Your DNA, the way you’re wired, is His idea. And that secret dream of yours is no surprise to Him. He always knew it would be there, tucked away in your heart, a seed He planted even before time began.
Actually, He’s just been waiting for it to burst forth – this new growth, this new thing … so surprising that it could only come from Him, so outrageous that it could only succeed if He were in it.

So, will you take a walk on the wild side with Jesus? Will you go and do what He made you to do, scary though it may be? Or will you let it pass you by?
It’s a choice that each one of us has to make at some point.
Go on … take a walk on the wild side.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
