Every now and then – not all that often, but occasionally – we get to wondering what life – our life, my life, your life – is all about. A random, chaotic sequence of events, or something more than that?

Life’s a funny thing. It goes along in fits and starts, interspersed with long, boring stretches of the same old, same old. You know … business as usual, interspersed with the occasional highs and lows.

All of a sudden something exciting happens – a marriage, a birth, a holiday, a promotion. And then, BANG, a car accident, relationship problems, the death of a loved one, retrenchment.

That’s how life seems to play itself out, apparently without rhyme or reason. More like a lottery than a life.

But that’s not actually the way it works. Let’s take a look at your life from a different perspective – from the vantage point of Heaven’s balcony:

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I chose you for a special work. I chose you to be a prophet to the nations.”

Now, whatever you happen to have going on in your life at the moment, just stop, take a deep breath and let that sink in. God knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, He already had a plan for your life. He already knew how your life would pan out and what He’d gifted you to do.

Your life is no lottery. It’s all part of God’s plan. And that, right there, is a great reason to bounce out of bed every morning with that sense of anticipation, “I wonder what God has planned for me today?” don’t you think, whatever you may have going on, right now?

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

Hi Mutinta,

Thank you very much for those encouraging words!…..

We give glory to God that He has chosen to use Christianityworks to touch and change the lives of so many”.

I leave you with this verse from 2 Chronicles 16:9

‘For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him’

Every blessing!.

I’ve been going through a lot of trials and tribulations and your devotions have been what gets me through. When things are going wrong in your life, it’s like a veil is put on your face and while you can see you can not clearly see. You know to trust God and his word but you’re struggling. But, when I hear it from a different person it’s uplifting, it’s prophetic, it’s fresh😁.
Thank you

I like the way it is written out, it encourages me to know that surely that God is in control of my life and that the direction that is set especially for my christian walk and my faith, to continue on and press forward and that he is in control of our life and direction good or bad happy or sad, Thank U for the encouragement
