It pains me to see people going through their troubles alone. On the one hand, they may well believe in Jesus. On the other, they live their lives, they worry themselves through their problems. As though He’s completely irrelevant.

There’s not a one of us who isn’t carrying baggage around with us. Sometimes it’s baggage from the past, or a difficult relationship, or a financial issue that seems insurmountable, or any number of other things. And here’s the thing with baggage: the longer you carry it, the heavier it gets.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could off-oad that baggage; lighten our load; travel just a bit more easily?

Is that even possible? Absolutely it is! If the burden is becoming too heavy, then today, God has this to say to you today:

Palm 55:22 Give your worries to the Lord, and he will care for you. He will never let those who are good be defeated.

That’s the amazing thing about the Lord our God. He wants to help. He sees us struggling. He gets it. And He wants to help.

Cast your burdens on the Lord. Cast your worries on the Lord. Pour your heart out to Him. Tell Him what’s burdening your heart. Invite Him right into the middle of that problem. Ask Him to give you the wisdom to get through, the supernatural blessing you need to get through. Ask Him to lighten your load, to carry the things that are too heavy for you. Ask Him to solve the troubles that are beyond you.

That’s what it means to cast your burdens on the Lord. And the result? The promise? The outcome of all that casting on the Lord?

He will care for you. He will never let you be defeated.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
