Ephesians 2:3-8 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that he lavished on us. (NRSV)

Can I ask you something? On a scale of zero to ten, to what degree has the grace of God toward you in Jesus Christ radically, completely, and utterly transformed your life? Seriously.

Now, if you truly believe in Jesus, if you yearn for a better life – even though following Jesus, just as He promised, will definitely involve sacrifice and suffering – a richer life, a more abundant life, a life that impacts other lives, a life that will truly leave a lasting legacy of love … if that’s you and God’s grace hasn’t completely transformed your life (that’s a ten on the scale we mentioned earlier) then something’s seriously wrong. Seriously!

That Word, the Word of God, is the most important thing I have to share with you today. My words don’t even come close. So let God’s Word sink deep into your heart. Let the blessing, the favour, the radical grace of God fill your heart, break your chains, set you free to be all that He created you to be.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
