Exodus 3:7-8 Then the LORD said, "I have seen the troubles my people have suffered in Egypt, and I have heard their cries when the Egyptians hurt them. I know about their pain. Now I will go down and save my people from the Egyptians. I will take them from that land and lead them to a good land where they can be free from these troubles. It is a land filled with many good things.

Download audio fileLet me ask you, when you cry out to God, when you’re hurting, when you need help, does He hear you … or not? Well?
I was at church the other Sunday and our pastor was just kicking off his sermon, when there was a blood-curdling scream from the children’s room. And even though that’s some distance off, it was more than loud enough to stop us all in our tracks.
He immediately looked at his wife and said, “That’s one of ours,” at which point she headed straight out to see what was going on.
Now to me, it just sounded like some kid screaming. But to the child’s father, it sounded like, well, like his child screaming. He instantly recognised his child’s cry.
Sometimes, we cry out to God and we’re sure He doesn’t hear us. Absolutely positive. But nothing could be further from the truth.

When you cry out, your Father always, always hears your cry. He can pick it out from all the other noise, because your Father knows your voice. It’s a Dad thing. And do you imagine, that He is any less of a parent than my pastor and his wife? Really?
I have seen your troubles, I have heard your cries, I know your pain. Now I’ll come down and save you.
