Some years ago, my wife and I had the good fortune to be in London together, and of course who can go to London without visiting that most famous of all department stores, Harrods? All we could do was skim the surface in our short time, but it was amazing the things you could buy. A 36-carat diamond necklace for half a million pounds. A Persian rug for two hundred thousand. What about this bed for seventy-five thousand quid? Oooh … and I like this cutlery set. Look, it’s only sixty-two thousand pounds. And that gold-plated, diamond studded mobile phone? A mere ten grand. For something completely different, how about this gorgeous kitten for the bargain basement price of two thousand quid.
I think I’ll have two of each, thanks! It’s unbelievable, the value that we put on things. The place was packed, and people were spending up big … quite an experience. And as I was standing in the middle of all of that, I thought about the value that God places on you and me – the very life of Jesus His Son.

Dear Berni,
That half a million pound necklace will not help you if you get Coronavirus and don’t make it through . But for that small price tag of just believing that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God . We will receive eternal life in heaven. Amen.
