Romans 8:35-37 Can anything separate us from Christ's love? Can trouble or problems or persecution separate us from his love? If we have no food or clothes or face danger or even death, will that separate us from his love? As the Scriptures say, "For you we are in danger of death all the time. People think we are worth no more than sheep to be killed." But in all these troubles we have complete victory through God, who has shown his love for us.

If I were to ask you, are you winning at life, do you feel on top of things, how would you answer? Yes, no, maybe?

So, when you look in the mirror each morning, what do you actually see? A winner, or a loser? It matters because how you see yourself will impact not just the day you have today, but the life you’ll lead, for the rest of your days on this earth.

Good times, bad times – they come and go. That’s life! But so many people feel that they’re not “winning” at life; that their circumstances are defeating them.

The Apostle Paul went through some terrible, life-threatening trials and hardships. And yet, this is what he has to say about winning:

Romans 8:35-37 Can anything separate us from Christ’s love? Can trouble or problems or persecution separate us from his love? If we have no food or clothes or face danger or even death, will that separate us from his love? As the Scriptures say, “For you we are in danger of death all the time. People think we are worth no more than sheep to be killed.” But in all these troubles we have complete victory through God, who has shown his love for us.

The world would want us to believe that “winning”, means eliminating all your problems; removing the source of pain. But Paul knew that that wasn’t true. He discovered that right there in the middle of all those terrible things, we don’t just have victory – we can have complete victory. We aren’t just conquerors, but more than conquerors – because of the love of God in His heart. That’s what you have, all of it, complete victory, when you trust your life into Jesus’ hands.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
