August Prayer Focus

In fact, the Bible says that God wants none to perish but all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9).

That’s why we do what we do, sharing the good news of Jesus by teaching the Bible in the media around the globe in over 10 languages, in a way that is first and foremost biblically faithful, but at the same time intensely relevant to real life here in the 21st Century.

So thank you for praying with us again this month for the lost and the hurting, those who need to hear the good news of salvation in Christ and Christ alone.

Here are some specific prayer points to help you do just that:

• • • Give thanks for God’s provision in bridging the gap of the “Abundant Life Appeal” that remained at the end of June. Thank the Lord for His provision during July and for those whose hearts were moved by Him to give so generously. Pray that He would bless them and that He would move many more to give generously over the coming months to keep Christianityworks on air on hundreds of radio and television networks around the globe.

    • Pray for the workers, volunteers, board members and supporters of Christianityworks who are suffering from sickness and disease at the moment. In particular a board member suffering from cancer and a long-time supporter who was recently severely injured in a workplace accident (the Lord knows their names). And for everyone else involved in the ministry – as a worker, as a pray-er, as a supporter – who is grappling with illness. May the Lord’s healing hand be upon them, may He still their hearts to trust in Him, may He overcome their pain and give them complete peace, in Jesus’ mighty name.

    • Give thanks for our Bible Teacher + ceo Berni Dymet’s visit to South Africa last month as many relationships with radio and television networks there were refreshed and renewed, and many more doors to proclaim Christ through the media were opened. May the Lord our God reach the lost and hurting with the Gospel of Christ across South Africa and beyond to draw many more unto Himself.

    • Pray for all the lost who will hear about Jesus this month through Christianityworks especially those who are actively and vehemently opposed to the Gospel. May the Holy Spirit go ahead to soften their hearts and open their minds, to receive the life-saving, eternity-upending Good News of Jesus and lead them into repentance and the salvation of their souls! ..

    • Pray for the millions of people across nations where Christianity is effectively banned for those who need to listen to Christianityworks’ broadcasts in secret, for those who have no way of accessing their own Bible and who depend on Christian media to hear the Word of the Lord. May God comfort them and strengthen them as they receive His Word into their hearts through the media. May He move mightily in them and through them, for His glory.

    • And as always please, continue to pray the prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:10) again and again over Christianityworks …

      Oh Lord, that you would bless us indeed … with Your supernatural blessings, far beyond our expectations and natural abilities.
      
      That you would enlarge our territory … giving us more capacity, reach and impact, that more lives would be saved + transformed.
      
      That your mighty hand would be with us … so we would be wholly dependent on you, on your touch of greatness, not on ourselves.
      That you would keep us from evil that we would cause no pain … so that in holiness + love in all that we do, the name of Jesus would be glorified.
