I am blessed, first and foremost, with the most amazing wife and with three adult children and three grandchildren. Together, they represent the greatest “worldly blessing”, if I can call it that, in my life.
Now I get it … not everyone is so blessed. I’ve been completely alone in this world too. But whatever your situation, there will likely be people and things that are a blessing to you. And let me say with every breath that’s in me, it’s right that we should enjoy the good things in our lives.
But there’s a line somewhere that we can so easily cross; that we cross at our own peril when we become so intoxicated with the things of this world that we hoard them for ourselves, becoming self-obsessed and self-absorbed.

The love that God has for you, His desire to fill you with His Presence, trumps anything that this world can offer. Don’t let the good things in your life rob you of His very best.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
