Coming to the end of our lives here on this earth is something that we tend not to think too much about. And yet, we all need to plan how our assets will be distributed, when our time finally comes.
And by planning ahead, you can have an eternal impact on so many lives, by remembering Christianityworks with a living gift in your will.
The Story of a Farmer
Following his untimely death, a young farmer left much of his estate to the ministry of Christianityworks. (He had previously come to faith in Jesus through one of our radio broadcasts praise God).
But between his passing and when his estate was finalised two years later, his farm was re-zoned from rural to residential! The Lord multiplied his giving in the most miraculous way.
And since then, his gift has been used over and over again, to transform millions of lives around the globe with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
His gift truly was … a living gift!
Your Family Comes First
When drawing up your Will, we truly encourage you to think of your family first.
And naturally, do consult with your solicitor in preparing or altering your Will. It will make the distribution of your estate much easier when the time comes, and give you peace of mind.
How Much Should I Leave?
That young farmer came to faith as He heard the Good News of Jesus Christ through our radio programs.
He in turn, sowed the seed of God’s Word right around the globe through his living gift … seed that has yielded an eternal harvest many times over.
So we encourage you to give as much as you feel you can.
How Can I Leave a Gift?
There are a number of ways to remember Christianityworks in your Will:
- A set amount
- A percentage of your estate
- A specific gift, asset, or property
- The residue of your estate
Wording in Your Will
It’s easy to add a paragraph to your existing Will. A suggestion for the wording is as follows:
I hereby bequeath to Good News Broadcasting Association Limited (Christianityworks), free of all taxes, duties and expenses, the sum of $______
[or “the residue of my estate”]
[or a description of assets or property]
[or ___% of my estate]
for the general purposes of the ministry.
A receipt signed by an authorised officer of Christianityworks shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my Trustee(s) who shall not be bound to see to the application thereof.
After signing your new Will, please let us know so that we can thank you personally and stay in touch.
Just one paragraph in your Will can give so many people a gift of eternal life with Jesus Christ – a gift for which they will be forever grateful.
