Guilt over the mistakes you’ve made in the past and anxiety over what the future holds are two sides of the one coin. And for many, those two enemies rage war deep in their souls, robbing them of life itself.

If you believe in Jesus, I mean if you’ve truly put your life in His hands, if you’ve set out to live your life for Him, then there’s one thing for absolute certain: all your sins, all your past mistakes are completely and utterly forgiven. The question is, have you forgiven yourself?

And there’s another thing for certain. Every moment of your life is in His hands; every step you take, He takes with you. You are never alone. You are never forgotten. The question is, do you live your life as though that’s actually true?

Because … listen to me … no amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of anxiety can change the future. It’s only through Jesus that you’re totally forgiven. It’s only in Him that, come what may, you can feel safe about the future.

And to make all that real for you, He’s left you His Holy Spirit to dwell in you, to bless you, to make you whole:

2 Timothy 1:7 The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control.

If you truly believe in Jesus, you have His power, you have His love, and you have all the wisdom and self-control that you need to be free of any guilt or anxiety that may be robbing you of the abundant life that He died and rose again to give you. That’s the truth!

Because that’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
