Download audio fileWe’re getting pretty darned close to closing out this year – today, tomorrow, then another year begins. So it’s time to forget the past and set our sights on the future. After all, how many years do we have left?
Well, how many do you have left? And what do you want to do with them, with this finite time that remains in your life on this earth? Honestly, the worst thing we can possibly do is to continue to live in the past – either by wishing back the good old times of long ago or by wallowing in the hurts, the failures, the regrets of yesteryear.
As we’ve seen, if you’ve been able to join me, the Apostle Paul, as a one-time persecutor of the church, had more regrets than most. But rather than looking back over his shoulder … well, let’s let him tell the story:

Friend, it’s time to turn the page on this past year, the year before, and the one before that. It’s truly, truly time to leave your past behind, and set your sights on the future that you have because of what Jesus has done for you. Forget the past and run hard to the finish line where an amazing prize awaits .
