Psalm 37:5-9 Depend on the LORD. Trust in him, and he will help you. He will make it as clear as day that you are right. Everyone will see that you are being fair. Trust in the LORD and wait quietly for his help. Don’t be angry when people make evil plans and succeed. Don’t become so angry and upset that you, too, want to do evil. The wicked will be destroyed, but those who call to the LORD for help will get the land he promised.

We chatted about this yesterday, as God called us through His Word simply to go on doing good in the face of the evil around us – to stop reacting badly and just get on with being solid, dependable and consistent in our own goodness.
But that’s hard, isn’t it? It’s one thing to say, “Don’t react to the evil people who seem to be prospering and just get on with doing good for God,” but it’s another thing entirely to live that out in real life. I, for one, need help with that. How about you? Enter … “the help”.
What’s the help? God Himself. You can depend on Him. He will help you. He will, ultimately, cause your goodness to shine in the darkness. So … so what?! … don’t react! Don’t allow your emotions to get the better of you. Don’t be angry and upset. Don’t you be drawn into their evil.
You can keep your emotions in check and stay safe, because your God is faithful. Trust Him!
That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.
