2 Corinthians 10:4-5 The weapons we use are not human ones. Our weapons have power from God and can destroy the enemy's strong places. We destroy people's arguments, and we tear down every proud idea that raises itself against the knowledge of God. We also capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ.

Negative thoughts can absolutely overwhelm you. The sun can be shining, the birds can be singing, and yet, our negativity can rob us of those good things.

Even the most positive person, can be overcome by negative thoughts. I’m naturally a very positive person, but recently, I decided to take note of the number of times each day that I’d have a negative thought.

“That person’s never going to change! What a pain in the neck! We’ll never raise the funds to go to Africa or to India or wherever else God’s called us to go. I’m just not as good as that person over there.” You know the sort of thing, on and on.

And I have to tell you, I was shocked, really shocked, at how many times a positive guy like me, can think negative thoughts like that. And when you put it in perspective, each one of those negative thoughts is an affront to God. It’s like saying, “I believe in my circumstances more than I believe in God.” Let me call it what it is – it’s a sin.

So these days, whenever I feel a negative thought slipping in under my guard, I replace it with what God’s saying. “I can do all things in Christ Jesus who strengthens me. If I have faith, the size of a mustard seed, nothing, nothing will be impossible for me.” I can’t tell you what a difference it’s made.

The weapons we use are not human ones. Our weapons have power from God and can destroy the enemy’s strong places. We destroy people’s arguments, and we tear down every proud idea that raises itself against the knowledge of God. We also capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Hello
I am confonted with negative thouhts on a daily basis. I have been looking for signs from God to tell me it is time to get out of a toxic marriage. Yet I get confused when I read verses such as “Be still and know I am God. or “Do not conform to the world” or have faith like a mustard seed” or “know that Im doing something good.”
If I do stay with my husband I feel I will be confonformed to the world.
Please help
