Download audio fileCan I ask you today, what does “Jesus Christ” mean to you? Is He even relevant to your day-to-to-day life? Or is He, in your heart, in your mind, just a bunch of irrelevant rules? Where does He sit in your estimation?
For many years, before becoming a Christian, I only ever used the words “Jesus Christ” as a curse in anger, in vain. I hated Christians and I thought that even the idea that there was God was patently ridiculous.
That’s how far away I was from believing. And yet still, when the time was right, Jesus came to me, put His hand on my shoulder and whispered, “I love you”.
The Apostle John often refers to Jesus as “the Word” … in other words, Jesus is God speaking to us in a language that we can understand. And that language isn’t a bunch of rules and regulations, but a language of love, a language of grace and truth.
John 1:16,17 Yes, the Word was full of grace and truth, and from him we all received one blessing after another. That is, the law was given to us through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
The word “Christ” means the one appointed by God. The word Jesus (or Joshua as it’s pronounced in Hebrew) means God’s salvation or God’s saviour. So together “Jesus Christ” means God’s appointed Saviour, the one whom God sent to save us – but from what? From ourselves; from our failures, from our fears, from an eternity without Him.
We can run, we can hide, we can deny, we can scoff – but sooner or later we all hear Him, and when we least expect it, He whispers “I love you.” It’s an appointment made by God. How we respond is something He leaves to us.
Grace and truth come through Jesus Christ
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

You are indeed Scot! Father, Son, Holy Spirit – each God and together God.

I’ve always been unsure of whether we pray to Jesus Christ or to God, the Father. If I pray to Christ Jesus, am I praying to God?

JESUS CHRIST has been, is now and will always be my All in All. I have been in situations that had been extra ordinary from birth but JESUS have proved His love for me all along. Mum died on the delivery table and I grew up from hand to hand of step mothers who are to me are cruel. JESUS was with me all along as I remember as a little girl going to church on my own to pray when walking back from school. This was in the 60s and early 70s. Then churches are always left opened unlike now. JESUS was the Master Planner, the Great Arranger who ordered my steps. Right from my primary school we were taught the Bible and we had to memorise some of the Psalms. My culture is the one that believes in fudus and I had been taken by step mums to various ones while I was very young and did not know right from wrong. What was their motives I did not know but The Good Shepherd JESUS CHRIST protected me from all evils. He planned the high school I went because there I joined the Choir using my voice to praise my Maker. He ordered my life, gave a job in the Ministry of Defence of my country that my bosses became like parents to me watching over me. It was one of my bosses who engineered my going to School of Nursing at the WHO Center for Research and Training and that is how I have been a Registered Nurse since 1980.
All along these journeys, JESUS made sure I didn’t mess around and when it was time for me to get married, He provided my husband for me who then was a nominal Christian but because of CHRIST in my life went to Bible College and became a Pastor serving the LORD till he died April 2019. GOD my Master Planner like I said gave me children who are filled with His Spirit HOLY GHOST serving Him with talents He deposited in their lives. I also went to Bible college in my country and also did a corresponding course in the World Bible College.
Looking back at my life, many times I have assumed GOD just created me to suffer and that whenever I needed Him, He’s always no where to be found. However after each situation, I always see my LORD and SAVIOUR glorified in all of these situations. So to me:-
JESUS is my LORD, my GOD, my SAVIOUR.
He’s my Dwelling Place, my Hiding Place, my Secret Place.
He’s my Shield, my Buckler, the Horn of my Salvation.
My High Tower, my Strong Tower, my Refuge, my Defender.
My Deliverer, my Redeemer, my Emmanuel, my Provider,
My Healer, my Victor and Victory. My Day, my Night,
The Man of war fighting every battles of life for me making me more than a conqueror.
My truth, my way, my life. He’s my light that lightening every darkness of my life.
My Provider, my Miracle Worker.
The Great Organiser and Master Planner of my life.
My Past, Present and Future. My waking, my Sleeping.
My Breath. The Owner of my life.
Even though I sometimes feel He’s far away from me but to the whole world,
He’s my ALL IN ALL.
I will bless the LORD at all times, His praise will continually be in my mouth.
If I have ten thousand tongues, they are not enough to praise Him.
Song:-
I just want to praise You LORD.
To lift my hands to say I love You
You are everything to me and I exhalt Your Holy name on high.

Berni, your messages day in day out are of comfort, and often give me stability and strength to keep going, when life presents uncertainty and fear. Life is simple but also complex. God has always been at the core of who I am. Brought up Catholic, I’ve never lacked knowing that God is real and that life after death is eternal. Mum in particular was a person of faith who imparted that knowledge to my twin and I. I am very grateful for knowing our faithful father in heaven, who has never let me down. Without fail He has come to my aid when I have asked for his guidance and help. May the good Lord Bless You and Keep You, all the days of your life. You are in my prayers… keep up the good work. God loves you. Višnja Nesbit
Keep up the good work… it is much appreciated.

Jesus Christ comes alive within us through His Holy Spirit, through our will to receive Him through Gods mercy and grace .
For some they were raised up in Gods word as Christians and for others Gods word was preached at school and heard at Christmas and Easter most assuredly.
Spirituality is within each and everyone of us and for some it’s deeply rooted and like the seed that’s sitting on a window sill for years on end lying dormant , until it’s planted in fertile soil and watered .there is a tree and a forest in that seed.
We are like a seed we can be in an environment that doesn’t allow us to grow and so we must search for the correct environment and then here comes the future, once we establish fertile soil we must nurture our seed and seek our fertilisers and dispel all of the rocks . We are no longer victims of our environment, life begins a new growth that is unique to Gods creation for us and like we all have different finger prints, so also do we have our own unique identity and nobody else can steal or take it away and nobody can compete with who we really and truly are either and so the contenders and bullies of our environment have no hope, none whatsoever.’
When God calls us, we are safe, we are protected, we are supported, we are loved and we will not be distracted by their noise, their group work, their big popular reputations.
Absolutely nobody can ever take Our Father’s life for us away not ever and that might not be palatable for a lot of people but it’s the truth.
God does not have favourites. God does not care if you’re a leader or a teacher or anything else with a title , He will use whoever He decides to.
Like DAVID he was the least thought of that God would use so they didn’t even bring him in from the field but God chose David because of his heart.
Once we hear God and do not harden our hearts but trust and obey His word within us because His word is inscribed also on our hearts and so when we begin reading the Holy Bible, His word there will be recognition from what we’ve been hearing in our heart and we will begin to then grow and develop in Gods word, it’s alive.
Our lives , the lives that other people played “god” with in order to control us and to cause us to shrink back in fear will become their biggest mistake oh they made a big mistake believing that they could control us through the work of the enemy.
God will show up, yes and He does.’
When God shows up there will be trouble because the enemy will try to keep us from following Jesus . Resist the devil and he will flee!
Gods word tells us to be strong and courageous like he told JOSHUA.
Our walk with Jesus is incomparable and it’s a journey only He can lead but we must listen with an ear of revelation and see with an eye of revelation .
Once God calls us by our name and whispers “I love you”.
Life will never be the same and actually the life within us makes us wonder if we’ve been living dead up til that point.
Jesus is absolutely all that we need in order to live by faith and that faith is God and Gods will for us.
