Psalm 92:1-3 It is good to praise the Lord. God Most High, it is good to praise your name. It is good to sing about your love in the morning and about your faithfulness at night. It is good to play for you on the ten-stringed instrument and lyre and to add the soft sounds of the harp to my praise.

Download audio fileLove, although it’s meant to make the world go round, does have its ups and downs. Which is why the love of God is so important. Because when all else fails, the love of God for you stands forever. Unchanging. Unending.
Love. How many songs have been written about loooove do you think? It must be millions. In fact, you turn the radio on and most of the songs are about that very thing. Love.
Why is that? Why do we focus so much on love? Why do ads use the promise of love to peddle their products? Why does love allegedly make the world go round?
Well, here’s the bottom line: because we all want to be loved. We all want the security of having soul ties, between husband and wife, between parents and children, between brothers and sisters, between friends.
But when we love, we open ourselves up, we expose ourselves. And invariably, love involves some hurt, some pain, some loss. It’s just the way love is, in this imperfect world in which we live.
But there’s one special love that’s really very different. It’s the love of a Father for His children. The love of God for you and me. A love that never fails us. A rock solid love. A love whose mercies are new every morning. A steadfast, unchanging love. A love that never ends. And that my friend, is a love song worth singing:
Psalm 92:1-3 It is good to praise the Lord. God Most High, it is good to praise your name. It is good to sing about your love in the morning and about your faithfulness at night. It is good to play for you on the ten-stringed instrument and lyre and to add the soft sounds of the harp to my praise.
Yep, definitely a love song worth singing!
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
