1 Corinthians 2:9 But as the Scriptures say, “No one has ever seen, no one has ever heard, no one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” – these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. (ESV)

It’s funny how in life an accumulation of the little things – the minor inconveniences, the small annoyances, all the needs that others have of us – can grow into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

It’s odd, weird, unexpected … how the pressures of life mount without us even noticing them until it really starts to get you down. You wake up one day and wonder, “What’s the matter with me?” And at that point, all the good things you were hoping for, all the beauty and wonder in your life, appear to have disappeared.

With all my heart I believe that today God wants to call you back into His beauty, His wonder, His stunning plan for you – not through anything I say, but through what He has to say directly to you:

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as the Scriptures say, “No one has ever seen, no one has ever heard, no one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” – these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. (ESV)

He’s making the point that this secret wonder and beauty of God is hidden from the world. But as His Holy Spirit takes that word and reveals it to our hearts, all of a sudden … wow! Really?

Friend, let the Holy Spirit reveal the beauty and wonder of His love for you through His word today. He’s searched the depths of God to reveal this to you: that you can’t begin to imagine the good things that He’s prepared for you. Just let that sink in deep, because …

… that’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
